Job Summary
Operations Training is a team of training specialists working consultatively with the North America Operations Organization within CenturyLink.

This position will focus on delivering technical training solutions for the North America Operations organization. Types of training could include TDM, Ethernet, SONET and DWDM systems Layer 1, 2 & 3, xDSL, Installation and Repair (I&R), GPON, engineering systems and safety courses.
Job Description
Under limited supervision conducts a variety of training programs supporting processes, products, systems, and/or methodologies.
• Provide basic technical training to employees at all levels within the CenturyLink Operations or Technology Services organizations. This training may range from those responsible for installation, implementation, test, maintenance, and repair to infrastructure and central office or equivalent technology to hardware and software support.
• Develop and upgrade appropriate Lab Systems to support developed curriculum and maximize hands on learning opportunities.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and hold students accountable while being in accordance with union contracts and HR policies.
• Maintains records of training activities and employee progress.
• Researches, analyzes, and recommends appropriate training programs.
• May perform on the job training support activities.
• Identifies, selects, or adapts training courses, tools and/or training aids to intended audience.
Develops relationship with assigned internal customers to establish ongoing consideration of training effectiveness and efficiency.
• Demonstrates effective facilitation skills through both live and virtual methods of delivery.
• Evaluates effectiveness of training programs by reviewing team resources; including Level 1 feedback, facilitation observations; etc
• Other duties as requested
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
• 2+ years of related experience.
• Minimum 2 years in a supporting role. I.e. Tech support, IC, etc. for the Central Office, Field or Support Center
• Demonstrate extensive experience in training, facilitation, presentation, coaching, influencing, process development, analysis, problem solving, and communication.
• Possess strong attention to detail with excellent prioritization skills.
• Demonstrate excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize appropriately.
• Strong desire to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment is necessary.
• Ability to travel up to 50%
Preferred Qualifications:
• Broad knowledge of performance consulting
