Overview
SunSentinel.com is looking for a passionate and promising interactive design intern for this summer at our newsroom in sunny South Florida.
This program will be 11 weeks starting on June 4th, 2018. It will be paid.
Responsibilities
Our intern will be creating graphics and/or data visualizations for daily news stories as well as for short-term and long-term news projects.
Qualifications
Yes, you should know how to code at basic levels in HTML, CSS and interactivity. But we aren’t looking for just a programmer. We want a student journalist who gets excited about the content, who understands the online world and how people use it, and can help us to present information in creative, interactive ways on all platforms, including social media.
You’ll be working closely with editors, reporters and visual journalists who are intensely focused on digital products, and this is an opportunity for you to learn, grow professionally and master your interactive skills.
Please provide links to your best work — including classroom work — and strong references.
