Description
FX Networks is seeking an Assistant to provide administrative and general support for the Media Relations department.
Responsibilities
• Answer phones, organize meetings, maintain schedules and records, make travel arrangements and process expense reports.
• Provide support for the department as needed, including couriering/overnighting packages, keeping department organized, escorting talent and proofreading. Assist at premiere events and press tours as needed.
• Work with other department assistant in processing and tracking invoices for Media Relations department, including obtaining all necessary approvals for expenditures.
• Assist with the distribution of press materials, and help maintain master media list of television reporters and Hollywood Foreign Press list.
• Work all FX events, organizing the press line and guest check in.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or related field is mandatory. At least 1-2 years of administrative experienced is preferred.
• Strong verbal communication and excellent interpersonal skills are required. Must be able to handle stressful situations and various personalities diplomatically.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required.
• Must be motivated, highly organized, detail oriented, personable, reliable, self-assured, and able to prioritize work with minimal direction.
• Position demands confidentiality and the ability to interact professionally with senior executives and media personnel.
