JOB OVERVIEW
karlssonwilker, Inc. is looking for a full-time Project Manager starting in early April 2018. As a Project Manager at karlssonwilker, you'll manage the workflow of projects from start to finish, both internally and client-facing. We’ll look to you to be an active leader, to think holistically, and to produce projects that are of the highest quality, on-time, and within budget.
RESPONSABILITIES
Manage project workflows from commencement to final delivery
Write project proposals and coordinate the bidding process
Build and manage project timelines based on approved deliverables and budgets
Work directly with the design team to ensure that project objectives, deliverables, timelines, budgets, and next steps are clearly understood and successfully executed upon during all project phases
Liaise directly between the design team and clients to ensure a seamless and efficient communication process
Run studio, team, and project meetings
Proactively identify and improve studio communication, processes, and procedures
Assist in project research and writing
Assist in new business research and development
Manage and nurture client relationships at all stages
Organize and maintain the studio database and archive (digital and analog)
Manage day-to-day operations (studio schedule, meetings, travel, budget and time tracking, invoicing, expenses, estimates, supplies, general studio maintenance)
Write and manage website content and all external-facing communications
Write the quarterly newsletter
ABOUT YOU
3–5 years of project management experience in a design studio or agency
Bachelor’s degree is preferred
Deep knowledge of project workflows, including design, copywriting, editing, proofing, and photoshoots
Strong leadership, organizational, and prioritization skills
Superb written and verbal communication skills
Self-directed with an uncanny ability to create and maintain order
Impeccable attention to detail
Thrive in a multi-disciplinary work environment
Proven fiscal accountability and responsibility
Comfortable working directly with clients at all levels and managing client relationships and expectations
Passionate about design, art, and management
Open-minded, collaborative, proactive, and positive
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Highly proficient in Mac OS, Google Docs, Pages, Word, Quickbooks, Excel
Basic InDesign and Photoshop skills
BONUS POINTS FOR
Familiarity with Basecamp, PandaDoc
Graphic design experience or training
Understanding of various production techniques/methods
Pay will be commensurate with experience.
Writing samples may be requested.
