Job Description
KVUEis looking for a Local Sales Manager to join our team in Austin, Texas. As a Local Sales Manager, you will Lead and Manage the Local Sales Team in conjunction with the other Sales Leaders. Implement TEGNA core principals to produce great results for local advertisers. Ensure each member of the local sales team functions exactly as their role is intended, so advertisers benefit and company revenue excels.
Responsibilities
• Focus on client results.
• Dedicated to the growth and development of the team.
• Make sure the team is operating in such a way that the AE’s are dedicated to uncovering opportunities and selling solutions
• Ensure the organization is controlling what can be controlled to keep all revenue sold
• Be sure the department has a healthy pipeline of prospects at all times
• Embrace every aspect of the Sales Playbook and make certain the tram is focused on execution in all areas
• Work hand in hand with Pricing Team and DOS on price strategy and plan
• Fully staffed and highly talented department, with a keen sense of recruitment at all times.
• Position yourself and team as a resource
• Minimize/eliminate revenue adjustments/credits
Performance Tracking
• Total local budget attainment
• Exceeding business development goals, especially Enterprise
• Exceeding digital goals
• Overall local market share growth
Leading Indicators
• Fully staffed and highly talented department
• Healthy talent bank for key positions
• Adherence to the Sales Playbook
• Effectively running designed sales plays
• Increased share on all business
• Reduction in zero share clients
• Effective positioning of audience with clients, buyers, supervisors and planners
Job Requirements
Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of account engagement in a professional, fast paced sales environment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Travel as necessary.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects effectively under deadline pressure.
• Attention to detail and accuracy a must.
• Ability to effectively solve problems.
• Creative and able to adapt quickly to change.
• Position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organization and time management.
• Professional business attire.
