The Billing Specialist, along with a team of specialists, assumes responsibility for processing & recognizing all revenue associated with HESI orders and product fulfillment. This includes, but is not limited to: daily processing & recognizing revenue associated with HESI orders, fulfilling customer credit and product return requests, handling/resolving customer disputes and/or discrepancies, as well as reconciling student payments and package cancellations with both customers & internal account teams.
Main Activities and Responsibilities
Processing Daily Invoices
Complete and finalize billing/invoicing for all HESI orders at the time of fulfillment or as scheduled/agreed upon with customer
Complete Customer Credit Requests
Communicate and complete all customer requests for credit memos and/or return of product.
Reconcile Student Payments
Daily processing of cash receipts for all student payments received, as well as daily reconciliation of existing orders while providing status updates back to account team and customer directly.
Reconcile Cancelled Packages
Process package cancellations and communicate findings/results to internal teams including, but not limited to: Product Fulfillment, OSCS, Client Services, Sales, & CR&R
Resolve Disputes/Discrepancies
Provide support for both customers and internal teams to reach a quick resolution for HESI invoicing disputes and/or discrepancies.
What you should bring:Technical Competencies
• A HS diploma, or GE AND/OR a 2/4 year degree or sufficient past professional experience.
• Experience in accounting, accounts receivable, and/or billing support is a must.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Sharepoint, & Outlook).
• Experience as a billing collector is also a plus, but not required.
• Familiarity with Salesforce and Oracle is a plus, but not required. Experience with Microsoft Great Plains is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to work well with others and communicate efficiently and effectively across internal departments and areas of the NHE business.
• Ability to take initiative and look for areas of improvement and inefficiencies when possible. Must be detailed oriented and meticulous.
