Job Description
Efficient and courteously handle telephone calls for lodging while maintaining a professional manner. Stay up-to-date on all reservations policies and procedures. Pay close attention to detail and maintain high degree of accuracy in all areas of responsibility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepare daily arrivals, inclusive of daily memos
• Process advanced deposits
• Attend to correspondence receipts
• Research daily reservations/refunds
• Respond to brochure requests
• Handle Gift Certificate inquiries, sales, and processing
• Be up-to-date on current offerings within hotel, waterpark, and local area
• Be sure supplies and equipment is adequate and organized
• Be up-to-date of all special event packages and rates
• Answer room reservation calls and be prepared to give rates and describe rooms and various packages
• Print confirmations for guests, check over for accuracy, and mail out
• Input rooming lists
• Run arrivals for current day
• Complete call-tracking sheets
• Be aware of availability of Hotel for current day verses competing hotels and their rates
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Computer experience
• Prior customer services experience required
• Must be able to speak, understand, read and write English
• Should have an enthusiastic and service-oriented attitude
• Basic knowledge of OPERA System preferred
• Ability to share all possible hotel and waterpark knowledge as trained
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Knowledgeable of property and waterpark information
• Possess organizational skills and attention to detail
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and other shifts as necessary
