Job Description
Overview
The Project Manager reports in to the SVP, PMO and assists in driving best practices across the global network by providing varying degrees of leadership, guidance and support. This position is based in Chicago.
Responsibilities
• Oversee project plans, stakeholder and risk registers, calendars and next steps
• Coordinate and participate in meetings, record discussion notes and manage follow-up actions
• Liaise with the global team on monthly status reports and synthesize updates
• Lead the collection and organization of meeting materials for monthly global calls
• Act as first point of contact, fielding questions and redirecting requests for information
• Serve as point of escalation and direct issues to the appropriate people
• Manage the organization of materials / files on Box
• Analyze and assess current processes for gaps and inefficiencies
• Proactively identify opportunities to streamline communication and distribution of information
• Build strong relationships with peers and leadership to create respect and accountability
• Assist in the development of PowerPoint presentations for internal company meetings
• Respond to a variety of local market requests and questions
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 3+ years of relevant experience working in a communications company
• Self-starter, proactive and takes initiative
• Strong organizational mindset and approach
• Ability to successfully manage many projects and tasks at any given time
• Demonstration of exceptional problem solving skills
• Direct project and/or program management experience
• Relationship building, negotiating and consensus building skills
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and identify solutions in an extremely fast-paced environment
• Comfortable communicating thoughts and opinions
• Ability to craft succinct, effective written communications
• Willingness to work outside of traditional US business hours as necessary
• Must be able to work collaboratively and effectively with all levels of staff including senior management
• High competency level in MS Office products including PowerPoint, Excel and Word
