Our team is in search of a Product Specialist. Our Product Specialists are on the front lines of our mission to enhance the customer’s experience. This role compliments our sales team, creates comprehensive proposals that contains appropriate Cars.com & digital marketing products to meet identified dealer needs within the South Region.The Product Specialist will fully serve their customer base by connecting with them, assessing their needs, recommending products, and encouraging the sale. The Product Specialist will also help train sales associates on product knowledge and identify current trends within our industry.
This is an opportunity to be part of The USA TODAY Network Automotive enterprise wide solutions sales team that will drive a retail auto industry transformation. Our team is tasked with building the strongest portfolio in the industry that will provide end-to-end digital marketing, wholesale and commerce solutions for major account automotive segment customers. You will be part of an elite team focused on our Major Accounts working to develop and build exceptional business solutions for our clients so they can focus on what matters most to them – growing their business. Our teams capitalize on the utilization of data, leveraging for retention and strategic selling opportunities to grow revenue.
We are looking for someone that can demonstrate their initiative, resourcefulness and ingenuity, coupled with a strong sales background and will have delivered results in both “traditional” and “new” media environments.
Responsibilities:
• Work directly with the Major Account sales team to provide support in the development of sales, retention, and upsell of the full product portfolio.
• Supports the creation of the dealer group account strategy/plan with Client Strategy Manager support
• Shares marketing/campaign results, analytics, implications, and recommendations
• Collaborate with Account Executives to ensure exceptional customer service
• Provides information about our products and services and be a resource for the customer
• Deep Digital Marketing expertise including SEO, SEM, Social, Display, E-Mail marketing.
• Serve as the Product “resource”
• Assist selectively in sales process
• Knowledge of Google Analytics
• Maintain a deep understanding of the market and monitor competitive products, innovations and activities.
• Understands the market and shares information on competitive products, innovations and activities.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Temperament to excel in a diverse team environment, flexibility is a must
• Brings energy and enthusiasm to the organization
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
• History of collaborating remotely or with remote teams
• Attention to detail and proficient understanding of digital media products, advertising solutions a plus
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent research, facilitation and organizational skills required
• Results oriented and follows through on commitments; can be counted upon to successfully execute on goals. Meets deadlines.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Proven agent for change.
