Description
Reporting to the Director of the Newark Arts Education Roundtable (NAER), the (part-time/temporary) Project Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the advancement of the work of the NAER.
Responsibilities:
• Establish and cultivate good working relationships and collaborative arrangements with NAER members, community groups, partnering organizations, and funders
• Assist in oversight of SummerPlus 2018: accounting, communication, finance tracking
• Assist in organizing events and meetings, draft and distribute minutes as necessary, coordinate food and meeting prep
• Process membership dues, acknowledgment of payment and maintain membership database
• Represent NAER at community events or meetings (ie. summer fairs)
• Update website and/or social media accounts
• Communications: Draft monthly e-newsletter
• Answer phone, schedule meetings and draft correspondence
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum of two years administration experience preferred
• Strong project management skills managing multifaceted projects resulting in measurable successes
• High level of organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to and passion for arts and education
• Proficiency with computers MS Word, MS Excel required and Outlook preferred
• Fundraising experience preferred
Work Hours and Compensation:
Hours can vary, but will usually fall within normal business hours (9 to 5, Monday through Friday). This position is scheduled for 20-25 hours per week, and we can work with you to arrange a mutually convenient schedule. Hourly rate, commensurate with skills and experience.
