Haymarket Media, Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Generalistto join our Human Resources team. This position is located in our New York, NY office.
Job Overview:
This position will provide full-life cycle human resources support in a growing, fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on, roll-your sleeves up position. Responsibilities include providing support on all human resources matters including, but not limited to, benefits analysis and administration, new employee orientation, regulatory compliance monitoring and report filing, HRIS updates, responding to employee inquiries, learning and development, and special ad-hoc projects. Responsibilities:
• Provide full lifecycle human resources support across all corporate human resources programs and procedures
• Onboard new hires – conduct and coordinate weekly new hire orientations and support administrative process associated with on-boarding new employees
• Travel periodically to the Paramus, NJ office for onboarding and various HR projects
• Lead benefit administration across the organization; enroll new employees; monitor employee eligibility timelines and communication; calculate and provide staff with annual fringe benefit allowance; review enrollment forms for accuracy and coordinates enrollment with benefit providers
• Coordinate and execute monthly carrier invoice payments with Accounts Payable
• Coordinate health, life, and disability insurance enrollments and communicate with service providers concerning routine administration of programs
• Coordinate the Haymarket Media Learning and Development Program, source speakers and facilitators as well as utilize employee feedback to ensure alignment with business goals
• Consult with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate
• Conduct exit interviews with departing employees and manage departure timelines with IT and Payroll
• Manage international and expatriate assignments and visa processes as well as employee eligibility events
• Coordinate corporate giving, community-related programs, and Haymarket engagement activities
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local reporting requirements
• Ensure compliance with COBRA guidelines by preparing letters and other paperwork as directed
• Maintain personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements
• Establish and maintain department records and reports
• Keep employee records up-to-date by processing employee status changes in timely fashion
• Process personnel action forms and assure proper approvals
• Coordinate data collection for compliance reports to include 401K plan maintenance, monitoring and reporting, EEOC, workers compensation audit, and insurance census and headcount reports
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Skills and Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years job related experience
• Proficiency using a variety of computer software applications, especially Google Docs and Microsoft Suite; Knowledge of HRIS system, ADP Workforce Now, a plus
• High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
• Attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
