The Role
The New York office is seeking an Assistant to join their Brand Consulting Insights and Analytics team. The ideal candidate is professional, motivated, quick-thinking and open to working in an environment where he/she is capable of performing administrative tasks. The individual should have a strong interest in research, trends and analytics, and is naturally curious about understanding human behavior. Assistants are an important part of the CAA structure, and it is hoped that the successful candidate will ultimately become an Executive within the company.
Responsibilities
• Provide administrative support for the Brand Consulting Executive focused on Cultural + Consumer insights, Quantitative Research and Analytics, including phones, coordinating meetings and schedules, and preparing expense reports
• Assist with report preparation including chart/table creation in PowerPoint, excel and KeyNote
• Work with external research vendors to set-up research projects and manage bid requests
• Study current cultural trends, test research survey links for spelling, grammar, logic and skip patterns
• Conduct background research for projects including succinctly summarizing large amounts of secondary research information
• Provide support in formatting and developing client presentations
• Learn how to use, analyze and report social listening data
• Monitor the progress of research projects
• Brief vendors and interviewers on research study specs
Education and experience
• BA/BS from an accredited University or College
• Degree in sociology, anthropology, psychology or statistics a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Strong interest in learning about cultural and consumer insights and trends
• Familiarity with statistical software programs such as SPSS, syndicated data sources such as MRI, Simmons, Scarborough and/or familiarity with social listening programs such as Radian 6 or Crimson Hexagon a plus
• Team oriented and able to work in a fast paced environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to meet deadlines, and able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
