The Senior Sales Operations Consultantis responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of Base Management in Medium Business for GEMS (Government, Education, Medium & Small) including analytics and reporting on Moves Adds and Changes as well as Retention. This person will collaborate daily with the Sales Operations team and Base Management Leaders to ensure accurate forecast and results. Ideal candidate has a track record of cross-functional roles demonstrating improved metrics in a customer-facing sales or service channel.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
• Works with SalesForce.com reporting and dashboards, and understands revenue data, sales funnel, and opportunities.
• Provides assistance with ad hoc reporting and other team initiatives.
• Serves as a liaison for the new hire during the on boarding process.
• Makes recommendations to enhance productivity, sales revenue and collaboration between human resources, operations, sales, marketing, product and finance.
• Guides others in problem solving.
• Ensures sales operations policies/practices are reviewed/revised as technology and business conditions change.
• Develops/delivers training to sales force and other sales-facing tools.
• Creates very complex reports and account analysis.
• Assists in compensation related reporting, analysis, investigation and training for sales teams.
• Performs other duties as needed in support of the sales organization.
Job Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; or 2 years hands on experience in Telecommunication Sales or Project Management in lieu of degree; or 2 years of other related experience with reporting and analytics.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Works both independently and interactively with others; works collaboratively and supports efforts of team members
• Ability to handle multiple projects at one time and be very detailed-oriented
• Must be able to facilitate various meetings and have the ability to state objectives, keep members on task, focus on next steps and determine action plans
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience leading a customer-facing team in a service and sales environment
• Project Management experience
• Experience with SalesForce.com
