Role Summary
Field Engineer I provides onsite technical support, installations, repair and maintenance, of terrestrial circuits, small to large VSAT terminals, and IP systems in onshore and maritime environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Installation and Testing of New Sites
• Customer Acceptance Testing and Documentation
• Corrective and Preventive Maintenance
• Maintenance and Installation Reporting
• Follow Technical Documents and use Logic and Test Equipment to Resolve Problems
Qualifications/Experience
• One (1) to Four Years Experience Installing, Operating, and Maintnaning VSAT Systems
• Certifications in SeaTel, Intellian, and/or other Stabilized Antenna Systems
• Experience Working with Maritime Customers is Desirable
• Degree in Electronics Field or 3 Years Applicable Experience in Leui of Degree
• Proficient in use of Spectrum Analyzers and Familiar with BER Test Equipment
• Understanding of Technical Drawings – Block Diagrams, Schematics, Etc.
• Experience in NOC Environment is a Plus
• Training in Cisco and/or Other Layer 2 and 3 Equipment
Skills/Interests
• Enjoys Working with Electronics/Computers
• Good English Communicator (Email and Voice) other Languages are a Plus
• Able to Maintain up to Date Documents in Order to Travel at a Moments Notice
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Suite
• Creative Problem Solver
• Able to Lift up to 50 Lbs
