This role is a critical element of the Human Resources experience at Altice USA. The ideal candidate has a deep knowledge of associate relations practices and employment laws, as well as a keen ability to maintain a balanced and impartial viewpoint. The role functions as an escalation point for general calls from associate and leaders to our Human Resources Service Center, covering Level 1 & Level 2 associate relations concerns. The Associate Relations Specialist provides sound guidance to our associates and leaders, Ensuring consistent application of our Altice USA policies, performance management, progressive discipline programs and the law.
Responsibilities:
• Provide a confidential and unbiased resource for associates and leaders to share concerns, report observations, and ask questions.
• Deliver best in class counsel and guidance aligned to our Altice USA policies, federal and local employment laws, and the company culture and mindset.
• Provide comprehensive expert advice to business leaders on a high volume of ER cases covering all aspects of employment relationships.
• Function as an Employee Relations consultant to HR Regional Field Team, HR Business Partners, and Business leaders as needed.
• Under the guidance of the Manager of Accommodations and Associate Relations, provide insight on trends and potential strategies that need to be escalated to the larger HR and Legal community.
• Partner with appropriate HR personnel when conducting larger and/or more far-reaching investigations to include detailed interviews, fact finding, and providing recommendations to HR and Business Leaders on appropriate actions/response.
• Partner effectively with the HR Service Center, HR Labor team, HR Business Partners and HR Regional team during hand-offs of investigations and/or deeper employee relations concerns or patterns.
• As a primarily virtual based case manager, build a trusted relationship quickly with callers, and deliver ER expertise in a timely manner.
•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
•3-5 years of demonstrated associate relations expertise in areas of performance, absence management, progressive action and/or general employee relations.
•1-2 years of high volume associate relations case management, ideally in a large, matrixed organization.
•Proven expertise in the application and interpretation of US employment law and HR Policies and Procedures.
•Ability to interact effectively and quickly build credibility with Leaders.
•Excellent Interpersonal skills and ability to influence.
•Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
•Ability to focus both on detail and wider implications of issues.
•Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
