Schmidt Printing is seeking a Customer Service Representative that builds and maintains strong relationships with effective communication internally and externally on assigned accounts.
The position works closely with the Strategic Account Manager and Workflow teams in the scheduling and processing of orders.
The CSR must be able to work in a fast-paced environment coordinating project details/writing job tickets for a wide variety of print orders for production and researching/resolving customer issues/concerns to ensure customer satisfaction. Work is transactional and highly service-oriented with a quick turn sales cycle.
Shift Available
• Monday-Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM; Additional hours may be required to fulfill job requirements. During Political mail season this may include occasional evening/weekend hours.
• Onsite; Team-oriented open office environment for effective collaboration
Responsibilities Include:
• Maintains regular contact with customers via phone/e-mail to discuss processing of order and answer questions
• Discuss art concerns, proofing methods, order status, quality or service concerns, handle complaints or technical questions
• Write job tickets for orders based off project instructions from customer PO, Quote, Estimate, Art and Shipping SOP’s
• Accurate order information communicated verbally/written so the job flows seamlessly through the production process
• Acts as the liaison, between the customer and the rest of the organization ensuring department goals are achieved by managing to assigned timelines
• Critical thinking needed to problem solve and create processes for new/existing product lines as they evolve
• Build trust through addressing customer needs professionally and efficiently
• Cross-training on consultative sales and customer relationship building
• Any duties as assigned by management
• Maintain assigned accounts as well as backing up/helping other CSR’s during peak workloads
• Coordinate customer schedule with Workflow and Buyout teams
Minimum Qualifications:
• High School graduate
• Minimum 2 years Customer Service and/or Sales experience required
• Highly detail-oriented; excellent proofreading skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
• Self-motivated
• Good problem solving skills
• Manage processes effectively and in a timely manner while ensuring quality
• Strong computer skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel etc.)
• Strong communication skills
• Team player
• Provide outstanding customer service
Preferred Qualifications:
• 2-year to 4-year degree
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking ability
• Highly-motivated; Must embrace change/risk and demonstrate a "do whatever it takes" attitude
• Schmidt or Print Product Knowledge preferred
• Solid understanding of the publishing industry, terminology, direct mail requirements and postal specifications
• Keen ability to analyze information and offer suggestions
