We’re looking for a product writer to craft terminology and strategize UX messaging for our Pinterest business tools—Analytics, Ads Manager, business profiles and more! As a writer on the Creative team, you’ll work with designers, researchers and product managers to build the tools that help businesses create Pins and run ads on Pinterest. If you’ve got a heart for business owners (from large enterprises to mom-and-pop shops), a mind for complex systems and a strong eye for UX and interaction design, you could be just the person for the job.
What you’ll do:
• Write the words and craft the experiences that go into the Pinterest products we build for advertisers and marketers
• Develop Pinterest’s voice and tone in our business tools, new-user experiences, notifications and more
• Take new products to market through external communications (blog posts, social posts, email)
• Work with research to understand what makes the most sense for businesses on Pinterest
• Experiment with many different messages to understand what works in the various parts of the business products
• Work closely with product managers, researchers, product designers and product marketers
• Develop and apply Pinterest business content standards for consistency and quality
What we’re looking for:
• 5+ years of experience in a writing or content strategy role (UI writing experience strongly preferred)
• Deep understanding of Pinterest’s voice, audiences and value proposition
• Ability to zoom in and out with ease, understanding how each small string fits into the larger Pinterest experience and how terminology affects and influences information architecture
• History of working well with a variety of people, from designers to engineers to producers
• Experience writing for business audiences, from writing emails and push notifications to create websites and landing pages
• Bonus: comfortable working with prototyping tools and Sketch
