Editorial Intern - PUNCH
PUNCH — an online magazine about cocktails, spirits, wine and beer (published in partnership with Ten Speed Press) — is hiring a self-starting editorial intern with a passion for drinks and web media and proven writing experience to join our team two to three days each week. Our dream candidate is organized, motivated and self-starting — an individual who excels in a start-up environment and takes ownership of their projects.
In this internship, you'll work directly with our Assistant Editor to facilitate the day-to-day running of PUNCH. You’ll help build content in our CMS, assist with outreach to bartenders for recipes and to importers for wine and spirit samples, help research and report for stories, contribute to pitch meetings and have opportunities to write short-form stories for the site. Our office in Bushwick is small and collaborative — we’ll expect you to stay on top of what’s going on in the world of drinks and be picking your brain for ideas regularly.
This internship is paid at $13/hour and would start immediately, at two days in our office each week. There may also be some weeks where we’d ask you to be in the office three days.
If interested, please apply online with your resume, cover letter and with several writing samples and a short note describing why you’re a good fit for this role at PUNCH.
