Role Summary:
We have a unique opportunity within our global payroll team, providing efficient and accurate accounting support within the finance department. This role is key to ensuring our payrolls and expenses are reviewed and paid in a timely manner and are recorded and reconciled accurately. It involves a high level of organisation due to the various elements involved and will give someone the opportunity to challenge themselves and be responsible for entire end to end payroll and expenses processes and at the same time have exposure to overseas payrolls.
You will be managing a small, globally distributed team as well as other finance partners for the day to day processesing of payrolls for 2,500 employees across 32 countries worldwide. This will be a hands on role and experience of running global payrolls is therefore essential
Key Responsibilities:
• End to end processing of various payrolls for a variety of countries and currently with a number of different payroll providers, each with their own complexities.
• Acting as the main point of contact with external payroll providers.
• Review of externally prepared payroll files and reconciliation to inputs.
• Preparation of payroll journals and month-end reconciliations.
• Ensuring payment of payroll and payroll related taxes and other costs by relevant deadlines.
• Administrative tasks – e.g. Payslips, year-end tax certificates and close monitoring of payroll mailboxes and action of items requiring attention.
• Dealing with ad hoc queries from employees and external providers.
• Working closely with the Regional HR departments.
• Responsible for monitoring various payroll allowances across regions.
• Quarterly commissions data analysis.
• Assisting with posting of ad hoc journals at month-end.
• Remotely managing a small team and matrix management of other finance team members.
Job Requirements:
• Previous experience in payroll administration and accounting required.
• Hands-on experience with multiple payrolls across a variety of countries.
• Demonstrates clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates excellent organisational skills and efficient at multi-tasking with adjustable priorities.
• Strong IT skills, with specific expertise using excel.
• Demonstrates a proactive “can-do” attitude and a proven background in exceptional customer service.
• Demonstrates commitment to quality in all aspects of work, despite a heavy workload, complex issues and time pressures.
