SUMMARY
As an Analytics Analyst on the Content Strategy and Analysis team at Hulu, you will utilize Hulu’s big data to drive strategic insights aimed at optimizing billions of dollars of annual content investments. The right person for this role has the aptitude to tackle multiple projects, is intellectually curious and is a strong communicator. WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Conduct deep-dive analyses to help advise licensed content acquisitions and original content development decisions
• Identify areas in which users are over/under served to help mold our content investment strategy
• Compile post-mortem analyses to derive insights into the performance of specific content deals
• Think creatively about ways Hulu can assess opportunities to expand into uncharted content areas, architecting new metrics and analyses
• Prepare and present insightful presentations for executives to influence decision making
WHAT TO BRING
• 1-3 years of experience performing big data analysis
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or any related field with strong academic performance
• Ability to think analytically, problem solve, and turn information into compelling stories
• Exceptional SQL skills
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
NICE-TO-HAVES
• Proficiency in R and / or other statistical analysis tools is a plus
• Advanced knowledge of Tableau
• Additional programming languages (Java, C, Python, etc.) is a plus
• Enjoys going to the occasional TV screening or film premiere
