Summary
Yelp is seeking a creative and proactive sales planner to work closely with our National and Mid-Market Sales teams. The Sales Planner will develop sales material, documentation and research for our sales organization. The Sales planner should be intimately familiar with online media, specifically the search and local advertising sales and delivery life cycle. Any candidate will need to demonstrate direct experience working with a sales team and creating custom proposals for key accounts. The National Sales planner will also be highly proficient with Salesforce, Excel, PPT, and comScore. The right candidate will also be highly organized and detailed-oriented, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work on multiple ongoing projects.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with and consult National Sales reps on how best to answer “Why advertise or partner with Yelp?”
• Provide evidence of alignment between a prospect’s target customer and Yelp Users using internal data via Tableau and 3rd party data such as comScore, Google Analytics, Nielsen, eMarketer, etc.
• Support pre-sales planning by pulling accurate search inventory, creating sales collateral, modeling ROI, creating case studies and performing competitive analysis.
• Collect and distribute competitive traffic, sales and industry data monthly.
• Build processes to ensure all documents and presentations are accurate and consistent.
Skills and Experience:
• 3-5 years experience in a relevant position in Online Advertising/Marketing.
• Proactive, self-starter who learns quickly and thrives on getting things done.
• A portfolio of your prior sales planning work (presentations, infographics, etc.)
• Knowledge of the interactive marketplace (local, search, directory a plus).
• Strong work ethic and ability to multi-task – must be able to juggle multiple projects and clients.
• Excellent team player with strong attention to detail and good time management skills.
• Strong experience with comScore, Excel, SFDC and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
