Penguin Random House titles are read and loved across the world and we want you to help us spread the word about them! We are seeking a Manager, International Marketing & Publicity to develop and execute marketing, publicity, and social media campaigns in international English-language marketplaces. This position will work on select titles across all Penguin Random House adult and children’s imprints.
Working closely with the international sales and marketing teams, as well as with the various internal publishing teams, this role play an essential role in bringing our books to the largest possible audience through innovative consumer-facing marketing and publicity initiatives.
Specifically, the Manager will:
1. Develop international marketing and publicity campaigns for current and upcoming titles.
2. Secure and schedule author interviews for broadcast, print, and online media.
3. Coordinate author participation in international festivals, as well as occasional overseas publicity events and tours.
4. Create focused and effective digital strategies for international consumer-facing efforts.
5. Oversee the production of print and digital advertising and promotional materials.
6. Attends key international trade shows including Frankfurt & London Book Fairs.

• Minimum of 4 years of trade book marketing/publicity experience, including experience working closely with authors; international experience is ideal
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and budgets
• Ability to problem solve and adapt in a rapidly evolving business environment
• Highly creative with knowledge of publicity and marketing trends within publishing
• Proven ability to work effectively with employees across all functions and levels within a company
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 3 weeks per year
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Office, PowerPoint and Excel
• Proficiency in social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr and an interest in developing and emerging platforms
• Experience planning and implementing author tours and events is strongly preferred
• Prior supervisory experience is a plus
• Foreign language skills a plus
