Description
Fox Deportes is seeking an experienced senior executive with a sports and media background to develop strategic relationships with television media entities, advertising agencies, digital streaming services, radio, etc., to drive non- traditional revenue streams. This position will be responsible for the identification, development and negotiation of co-branded and strategic partnerships for Fox Deportes. The candidate must be experienced in the media industry and knowledgeable in sports and brands. Having a strong understanding of the technology industry and the rapidly evolving media climate will be key. This position will bridge the gap between traditional media revenue (Ad Sales and Affiliate Sales revenues) and non-traditional revenue streams such as formulating strategic partnerships with radio and streaming services, licensing third-party rights from the Fox Deportes portfolio, and partnering with agencies/brands to increase network revenue, market-share, and brand awareness. Goal is for 1.5 to 2.5 million in revenue year one.
Division Description
• Drive new business initiatives for Fox Deportes to achieve tangible results in the form non- traditional revenue streams (i.e., content licensing to radio, streaming services, third party distributors, etc.)
• Lead/support all aspects of third-party content sub-licensing negotiations and execution for Fox Deportes.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Production, Marketing, Ad Sales) on product placement and branded content opportunities in Fox Deportes shows including lead generation, outreach, negotiation of fees, contracts and follow through of deliverables.
• Develop integrated brand campaigns with Fox Deportes’ Ad Sales team to achieve incremental revenue streams and brand objectives.
• Collaborate with agencies and brands to drive engagement to their product/services outside of the traditional ad windows and generate new revenue.
• Maintain rights list of properties Fox Deportes may exploit in the U.S. and abroad across multiple formats (i.e. TV, radio, streaming, virtual reality, etc.).
• Partner with streaming services to capitalize on rapidly growing mobile streaming platforms.
• Assist Marketing team in strategy ideation to enhance new and existing partnerships to drive branding opportunities.
• Develop customized partnership programs, working closely with Ad Sales.
• Leverage Fox Sports’ assets with key internal Fox Sports business partners/stakeholders to pursue strategic partnerships.
• Assist in assessing and negotiating programming content deals and sub license rights as required.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s required; MBA Preferred
• 12 years related experience
• Bilingual – Spanish/English
• Excellent verbal, written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, as well as good interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, leadership skills, and strong analytical skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Explorer are needed. Basic knowledge of television vocabulary is a must.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail are required. Demonstrated skill in developing and maintaining effective business relationships is necessary. The ability to multitask and work effectively under changing priorities and daily time constraints is required. Travel 25-30%.
• Frequently required use of hands and fingers to write, manipulate telephone and computer keyboard. Regularly required to hear, talk and use close vision. Ability to travel regularly by air and road.
