Job Description
Responsibilities:
The VP Director is the overall strategic navigator for the client portfolio, managing the group and leading the senior level brand relationships. You would report to SVP Group Client Director in leading the day to day operations of all client brands and leading a team of up to 8 direct reports.
• Responsible for overall management of the brand’s business (both traditional and digital) throughout the entire strategic, planning, and implementation process
• Responsible for communication and media deliverables; maintain status report as demonstration of this and for client and internal management effectiveness
• Interpret strategy statement into ideas and actions; develop communications planning effect beyond Context Strategies and communications plans into composed marketing tactics that deliver on stated goals using agreed to marketing and communications strategies
• Lead in strategic positioning, segmentation initiatives and in areas of holistic program planning and communications idea generation/execution
• Manage strategic implementation and measurement/optimization of communication plans; generate projects that are integral to the brand’s marketing and learning plans
• Supervise, train and develop staff, including managing workload, delegating responsibilities and checking work for accuracy, performance management.
• Providing staffing recommendation and daily supervision to all accounts.
• Earn shared leadership role with creative agency in complete brand management and marketing planning process, including new product development, positioning concepts, segmentation, marketing planning, creative execution, message distribution, measurement, and optimization
• Work with internal & external teams to ensure that strategic themes and communications plans are implemented properly; deliver critical leadership in helping others on the team understand how strategies and plans influence sales and ensure output is aligned with the business goals
• Create and maintain strong client relationships by attending client meetings and maintaining regular contact
• Collaborate with SVP in producing and negotiating yearly client contracts and additional proposals and manage account profitability
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of media basics across channels, in addition to being able to defend plans to clients & manage multiple projects at the same time
• Proven experience and success in presenting plans to client and influencing top level client decisions related to local media strategy and implementation
• Candidate must be a self starter, proactively building key relationships across the agency
• Excellent leadership, management and motivational skills
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and quantitative/analytical skills
Strong client presentation skills and business writing skills
Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning and client relations
Detail-oriented and proven ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
• Beer/Spirits/Beverage experience is a plus
