Position Summary:
The Senior Director, Content Operations works as part of a larger product team to define requirements, produce content, and generate metadata for SiriusXM products including Spoke, which focuses on talk audio content. The Senior Director and content staff work closely with technology teams on both operations as well as new development. The role includes managing staff focused on audio content curation and production for social media, community management and metadata (including leveraging staff to aid machine learning). The Director also identifies and engages content and marketing clients, both internal and external.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage team output for development of metadata and curation of content.
• Manage process to discover/identify relevant audio content from both inside and outside SiriusXM.
• Partner with a technical team to
◦ develop workflow, systems, and priorities on the creation of content, content metadata, and tooling, and
◦ craft requirements for production users
• Define, monitor and report on relevant metrics.
• Identify and work with content partners in the podcast/talk audio space.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• 2-3 direct reports, with overall responsibility for a tiered team of approximately 15 employees
Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum of 7 years of content creation, curation, and/or business engagement.
• Minimum of 3 years of people management experience in a similar industry (i.e., media, entertainment or radio/podcast world).
• At least 3 years successfully partnering with technology teams.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, relevant experience

• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
Technical Skills:
• Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience using content management systems
• Knowledge of audio/video editing software highly desirable
