Description
FOX Sports South is searching for a Sr. Social Media Coordinator to join their team in Atlanta, GA. The position is responsible for the development and creation of social media/digital content and coordinating the network's day-to-day social media efforts across all channels. Duties include overseeing the execution of strategic social media initiatives to align with the company brand and grow social platforms; creating engaging text, image and video content; compiling comprehensive impression reports and analysis; researching audience preferences and discovering current trends; responding to inquiries from the public on social channels.
Responsibilities
• Along with the Digital Content Manager (DCM) and Digital Content Assistant (DCA) - develops and executes plans to create social/digital content (not limited to text, image and video)
• Spearheads network's daily efforts across all social media channels to highlight team partners and grow accounts
• Compiles comprehensive recap reports and media impression reports for all social media platforms
• Works closely with the social media correspondents, talent, and brand ambassadors, directing their social media efforts to coincide with company brand and sensibilities
• Work in conjunction with DCM and Marketing Department to promote social content on linear and execute marketing initiatives
• Responds to inquiries received from the general public regarding the network and coordinates responses with Communications Manager and GM to ensure consistency with the corporate message and branding strategies
• Assists DCM in overseeing and hiring interns
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree and 2-3 years of professional experience working in social media, broadcasting or journalism field, with a strong knowledge and keen understanding of the regional sports and media landscape
• Fluent understanding of new media platforms and the ability to foresee trends and utilize digital assets to reach consumers
• Keen sense of the power of social media and digital media and be comfortable evangelizing FOX Sports South to a wide range of constituents, including fans, media, bloggers, and team partners
• Experience on-camera, in traditional broadcasting or on social media platforms highly preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills required - excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary
• Demonstrated ability to create and write stories
• Understanding of sports statistics and proven ability to use to create compelling/engaging content
• Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects), Microsoft Word, Excel, photo editing software, and PowerPoint is required
• Excellent organizational and project management skills and the ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment are essential
• Proven ability to develop and maintain successful internal and external business relationships is essential
• Deep knowledge of the local sports community and the ability to foster strong relationships with the fans that drive it
