National Accounts Manager - Penguin Young Readers
Join the fast-paced Penguin Young Readers Mass Merchandise Sales team!
We are currently seeking a National Accounts Manager to sell Penguin Young Readers Group titles and products to select mass merch accounts and the servicing distributors. While working closely with retailers, distributors, and a variety of in-house departments, this position will be responsible for driving sales and increasing overall market share for the Penguin Young Readers Group.
The National Accounts Manager will also be responsible for creating, maintaining, and strengthening account relationships through preparing and presenting monthly and seasonal solicitations to accounts, as well as by developing and implementing strategic and revenue driving promotional programs.
Additional responsibilities include:
1. Creating quarterly and annual business reviews for all accounts, along with presentation decks.
2. Communicating internally with publishing, marketing, operations, etc. colleagues regarding all business related to PYRG products and accounts.
3. Reviewing customer orders and working with inventory and customer services teams to manage inventory levels, track orders, and troubleshoot issues.
4. Overseeing co-op advertising efforts and maintaining retailer/distributor co-op pools.
5. Running and analyzing daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal sales reports.
Please apply if you meet the following minimum requirements:
• Minimum of 4 years of publishing sales experience, including 2 years of direct selling to retail buyers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including superb presentation and follow-up skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and to work in fast-paced, deadline driven environment
• Effective problem solving skills
• Proactive with the ability to manage multiple priorities at one time
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to travel to accounts and sales conference up to 20% of the time via plane, train and/or car
• Experience using SAP and Business Objects, is a plus
