Description
Position Summary:
Receives, handles, stores, issues, and delivers merchandise for LEGOLAND California utilizing an inventory software system; Moves materials and merchandise to storage areas and bin locations utilizing forklifts, pallet jacks, and or other material moving equipment. Drives a flatbed truck or other vehicle with trailer to deliver materials to on and off-site drop-off points. Ensures a safe working environment at all times; Adheres and supports LLCR policies and procedures; Ensures excellent customer service.
Scope and Responsibilities:
1. Loads and unloads vehicles, containers, trailers and vans.
2. Moves materials or merchandise to storage areas and bin locations utilizing forklifts, pallet jacks, and or other material moving equipment.
3. Drives a flatbed truck or other vehicle with trailer to deliver materials to on and off-site drop-off points.
4. Performs daily clean-up activities.
5. Performs daily cycle-counts, inventory control, and maintains inventory accuracy within bin locations.
6. Locates items in the warehouse using the Inventory Software system, picks items, assembles and prepares items for shipment or distribution ensuring accuracy with each order.
7. Tags merchandise.
8. Verifies items against receiving documents and utilizes the Inventory software system to update the receipts in the system.
9. Ensures warehouse maintenance, safety and security at all times.
10. Performs any task necessary for business needs.
11. Ensures excellent customer service.
Background and Experience:
Six months of general warehouse experience required. Experience in a large retail environment helpful.
Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination is required. Some college course work is preferred.
Other Requirements:
Capable of being certified to operate a forklift (Stand-up reach truck) and order pickers from the ground level to a maximum height of 30 feet above ground.
Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends to support park operations.
Must have valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and have valid vehicle insurance.
Position requires pre-placement physical.
Language Skills:
The employee must be able to speak, read, and write the English language. Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one settings and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
Mathematical Skills:
The employee must possess and be able to perform basis math and counting skills. Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement.
