Description
The Museum of Modern Art is currently accepting applications for a development officer (Corporate Membership) to develop and implement annual and long-term corporate membership goals and strategy in collaboration with the assistant director, Institutional Giving, Global Partnerships.
• Supports stewardship of Corporate Members and Multi-Year Partners.
• Develops and implements annual and long-term Corporate Membership goals and strategy in collaboration with assistant director of Institutional Giving.
• Manages corporate membership budget and financial information.
• With Development Officer (Corporate Sponsorship) identifies, cultivates, and produces proposals and solicitations for new corporate prospects to support the corporate program.
• With Development Officer (Corporate Sponsorship) develops and implements strategy for long-term stewardship of corporate supporters.
• Works with Visitor Engagement, Membership, MoMA Retail, and other departments to provide VIP services and smooth handling of corporate supporters at MoMA.
• Coordinates invitations to exhibition openings and other events, corporate entertaining rental inquiries, private tours, and all aspects of stewardship with an eye towards retention and increased giving.
• With assistant director and manager of Institutional Giving, generates copy and collateral for corporate member communications, including newsletters, emails, website pages, and any other materials as needed.
• Conducts ongoing communication with corporate supporters, including in-person meetings and visits.
• Prepares periodic reports for Corporate Members and Multi-Year Partners.
• Tracks retention rates, lifetime giving, and other key performance indicators for corporate supporters.
• Monitors trends in benefits and ad-hoc requests to ensure offerings are competitive and consistent.
• Coordinates barters and in-kind agreements related to Marketing, Communications, Retail, Special Events, IT, and other departments as needed.
Reports to Assistant Director, Institutional Giving, Global Partnerships.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and three to five years relevant experience in a development office or equivalent. Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
Superior organizational skills and attention to detail. Financial, budget, and database (preferably Salesforce) experience. Knowledge and interest in business trends preferred. Passion for modern and contemporary art a plus.
