Canon Solutions America Project Management Senior Managers are responsible for providing daily management of assigned team, including resource and budget management. They will contribute to the strategy development and execution for the Project Management function and provide front-line management of specialists and devote significant time and effort to the development and advancement of the function. This includes a penchant for continuous improvement, resource optimization and work process efficiencies. In addition, they will advocate to the business for the discipline of Project Management and the benefits that result from use of its services.

Responsibilities
• Manage the day-to-day operations of a team, provide training, structure, direction and purpose to all direct reports. Responsible for fostering a high performance environment
• Monitor the team’s work and checks quality of deliverables, balance customer satisfaction, project budgets and utilization
• Manage the prioritization of work assignments and allocation of work based on available team bandwidth
• Develop direct reports, both technically and professionally
• Provide/facilitate technical expertise as needed by the team with a forward looking perspective
• Build training plans to support continuous skills development of Project Management team
• Liaise with customers and manages client escalations
• Maintain High Level of measureable customer satisfaction for self and assigned team
• Manage/monitor the team’s operational budget.
• Researche ways to reduce expenses, optimize service delivery and shorten project cycle times
• Achieve on-time and on-budget completion of projects assigned to the team
• Lead and champion continuous improvement in Project Management Methodology
• Provide clear, precise and direct project communications
• Manage resolution and/or timely escalation of Risks and/or Project Issues
• May require delivery of project management services for customer and internal projects to accommodate demand peaks and special circumstances (up to 30%)
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, Technical Major Preferred
• 9 - 12 years Project Management Experience
• Direct staff management required
• At least 5 years in a Print/Mail or related domain
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Project and Enterprise PPM Tools
• PMP required Six Sigma, ITIL, CMP Preferred
• May require up to 50% travel, including overnight stays
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record necessary
