Position Overview
Canon has an exciting opportunity for a eCommerce Channel Development Specialist to join our growing eCommerce Sales team in the Imaging, Technologies & Communications Group (ITCG).
• This position will be responsible for communication and execution of a strategic business plan for the following customer channels: Affiliate Partner sales, Employee Purchase Program, K-12 Education sales etc. with a goal to further grow business through our Direct platform.
• Our team delivers the coordination, planning and competencies that are key to driving forward and grow our Direct Business Channel by working closely with both our internal teams and clients.
• Reporting to the Sales Channel you will have the opportunity to influence the strategic partner/channel planning with the primary objective to deliver on business targets established for each individual channel.
• You will collaborate closely with colleagues across the organization including front end and back end operations, Product and Marketing.
• You will coordinate directly with the Sales Strategy group to on-board new partners and will be responsible for managing, reporting and tracking results against our targets.
• You will be in a position to nurture the relationship with existing partners to develop and grow our business via scale and innovation
Responsibilities
Affiliate Partners ongoing communications and relationship management, including but not limited to:
• Publisher strategic pricing and promotional discussions
• Outreach to negotiate and secure placement to expose promotions and products
• Secure specific promotions with internal Business Planning
• Seek paid placement opportunities
Affiliate Sales Channel responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Manage publisher relationship/placements and new recruits
• Develop and communicate special promotions
• Work to develop product group needs
• Ongoing research and identification of next generation partners and business relationships
Employee Purchase Program (EPP) Sales responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Recruitment of new stores
• EPP specific offers and pricing
• Outreach with 3 aggregates to negotiate and secure placement to expose promotions/products
K-12 Education Sales responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Reviewing all sales requests and forwarding for processing
• Work to secure inventory for drop shipments of products
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Required in Business, Economics, or Mathematics
3 - 5 years of E-commerce industry or related industry experience.
Understanding of and experience with large affiliate platforms.
Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal) and the ability for communicating with customers/partners at all levels of an organization.
A high degree of creative ability, analytical and business skills and independent judgement.
Highly consultative and solution oriented.
This position will require up to 20% Overnight travel. This position requires driving for company business as an essential function of the job and must remain in compliance with company safety guidelines and policies.
