POSITION OVERVIEW:
Townsquare Media of The Hudson Valley’s Operations Manager/Brand Manager has been promoted and we’re looking for our next great programming leader. Your primary responsibility is overseeing our market leading, heritage Classic Rock station, WPDH, you will collaborate with all of our format and digital leaders. This person, shows by example, the importance of the relationship between their staff and the local community. They are extremely creative in the development of unique content, promotions, and multi-media strategies. This candidate has the experience, poise, and versatility to earn the respect of their people. You will develop relationships with your on air team, the sales department and sales management and your Market President. You will carry your radio stations brands forward on air and in the digital world and be a leader for your Brand and cluster. As the Brand Manager you will perform the following duties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Quickly become proficient on Nex Gen both in studio’s and production rooms
• Learn Selector and schedule music
• Take complete ownership of the stations brand both on air and in the digital space
• Clear vision for the future, a strong desire to win and the confidence to manage a strong, veteran staff
• Must be extremely creative in the development of unique content and multi-media strategies
• The ability to train and develop quality air staff and get the most out of their talents
• Attend other programming/sales meetings as requested
• Work with station “voice” to keep station’s imaging fresh including timely promo’s for upcoming events
• Total responsibility for the overall sound of your radio station
• Experience in winning in a competitive landscape
• Creation and implementation of dual purpose ideas that grow ratings and revenue
• Learn the Townsquare blogging procedures
• Inspire others to strive for excellence beyond their limitations
• Able to voice track or go live on one or more Townsquare radio stations when needed, vacation relief, sick days or in case of emergency
SUGGESTED QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:
• Participate in a variety of digital assets the company offers for our listeners/digital users
• Must demonstrate dependability, passion, strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Business acumen, open-mindedness and a sense of what it takes to win are essential
• Previous on-air programming and music scheduling are required
