Pearson's K-12 Sales organization will be adding a new member to our Specialist team. We are looking for a Specialist with deep content knowledge to join our Inside Curriculum Specialist team in Chandler, Arizona.
Pearson’s K-12 Curriculum Specialist is a:
• Content area Specialist with deep K-12 knowledge in Humanities
• Expert in the delivery of sales and introductory product orientation training for print, digital, and blended programs who will partner with other specialists and share responsibilities for assigned regions
• A self-starter with a passion for K-12 education and the ability to drive educators, at all levels, to make sound decisions regarding learning outcome choices for students and teachers
• Expert on national education standards, current education pedagogy and market trends
• Strong communicator with the skills to relate to all levels of state, regional, or district K-12 employees from superintendent, administrator, teacher, and para-professionals
As a K-12 Specialist, you will work in partnership with Account General Managers throughout the region as a content specialist supporting the sales process from prospecting to close for Pearson products, services and solutions respective to your portfolio in assigned markets. To make this happen, you will enjoy the opportunity to develop and maintain ongoing relationships with school district decision makers in the region and share your expertise in Pearson’s offerings, pedagogy and the competitive environment. You will partner directly with the Market Sales Teams and product management to advance Pearson products, services and solutions in your market.
The Virtual Curriculum Specialist will be responsible for:
• Contributing to the achievement of revenue targets as assigned
• Delivering winning virtual presentations for each sales cycle which may include exhibits and conference, pre-work and issue setting workshops, meetings, campaigns, pilots, sales presentations, and program activation
• Developing relationships with key k-12 decision makers within the market segment
• Maintaining content level expertise through the Pearson certification process
• Delivering program activation trainings for new and on-going customer accounts
• Collaborating with internal Pearson teams including sales, services, and product management
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of K-12 education experience to include classroom teaching experience in Humanities
• BS or BA / Master’s Degree preferred
Experience with virtual delivery
• Specialty training or advanced certification is preferred
• Expert knowledge of education theory and market trends in assigned content areas
• Knowledge of competitive landscape preferred
• Deep knowledge and passion for learning in K-12 education
• Demonstrated ability to deliver winning presentations in large and small groups
• Experience in networking with district administrators and decision makers
• Previous experience in selling and servicing in the education market is desirable
