Position Overview
Autodesk is seeking an innovative, experienced and results-driven Human Resources Director/Senior Director to work with the Manufacturing and Construction Product Group (MCP) organization. The position will partner directly with a Senior Vice President responsible for a worldwide team exceeding 1500 employees. In this role, you will drive organizational and company HR programs and initiatives, including organizational change, workforce planning and development, and performance management practices. As a key contributor in the development of the organization's strategic plans and objectives, you will be responsible for driving the division's HR strategy through creation of the Human Resource Plan to meet organizational objectives.
Responsibilities
• Contribute to the development of the organization’s strategic plans and objectives
• Drive organization HR strategy through creation of the Human Resource Plan to meet organization objectives
• Act as a strategic business partner, change agent, and member of the management staff
• Drive organizational structure, content of jobs, and establishment of performance standards within the client group. Manage company-wide and organization-wide HR programs and initiatives (e.g., compensation and benefit review, equity programs, workforce planning, training and development, retention and engagement strategies, and organizational change) within the client group. Ensure desired behaviors are identified and reinforced in total reward programs and professional development programs
• Partner with HR functional specialists in training, compensation, organizational design, and staffing as appropriate to help drive organizational initiatives
• Effectively facilitate acquisitions, organizational restructures, and staffing within the client group
• Ensure comprehensive development and succession plans are in place for key positions. Drive manager and employee development efforts throughout client groups including leading skills development workshops, encouraging participation in training and development, and working with managers to create individual professional development plans
• Facilitate organization and leadership development efforts to address root causes of human resources issues. Coach managers and employees at all levels within client groups on a variety of topics including management skills, organizational effectiveness, professionalism, conflict management, and Influence senior management across the company to clarify and resolve cross-organizational business and communication issues and improve overall organizational effectiveness
• Maintain a partnership with geo based HR team and the HR functional groups to strengthen the effectiveness of worldwide HR community
Minimum Qualifications
• 15+ years experience in strategic business partner roles interfacing with leaders at the C-staff level through front line managers and employees
• 5+ years of experience in a management level role
• Tech industry experience a must
• Strong leadership skills and demonstrated success influencing at senior levels in multiple organizations
• Demonstrated success operating at a strategic level along with extensive knowledge of HR policies and practices, compensation and benefits, organization change and effectiveness
• Ability to work as and be viewed as a trusted business partner to the organization
• Previous Global HR experience and experience working with a product organization
Preferred Qualifications
• Strong influencing and communication skills; ability to navigate formal and informal communication and decision-making channels, and assert an “unpopular” opinion when necessary
• Strong coaching experience, guiding and advising on HR related initiatives
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills; demonstrated experience in successful change management
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations required; multi-national knowledge beneficial
• BA/BS or equivalent work experience
