SUMMARY
Hulu’s Consumer and Market Insights team is seeking a Consumer Insights Analyst who will be an exceptional addition to our Marketing team. As a Consumer Insights Analyst at Hulu, you will support consumer research initiatives at Hulu, including gathering data, developing analyses, and creating reports that deliver against key objectives in Content and Marketing. The right person for this role is an analytical thinker with a strong attention to detail and natural curiosity who can tackle multiple projects at once. WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Support Consumer Insights Managers in the execution of research projects through questionnaire development, survey programming, data collection, quality control checks, analyzing raw data and report generation.
• Work with team and key stakeholders in Content and Marketing to frame research objectives
• Manage key stages of qualitative and quantitative research studies
• Coordinate with research partners (both internal and external), ensuring processes are running smoothly
• Conduct analyses providing actionable insights, allowing teams to make data-based decisions
• Gather insights across a variety of data sources, including internal databases, primary research and syndicated sources
WHAT TO BRING
• 2+ years of custom research project experience, preferably at a market research supplier focused on the Entertainment vertical
• Experience with market positioning, viewership studies, development studies, concept tests, pilot tests and title tests
• Understanding of a variety of market research methodologies and their applications
• Knowledge of Nielsen-based systems (NPower, Scarborough) and viewing statistics
• Ability to write clearly and succinctly, analyze and summarize data
• Strong attention to detail, particularly when it comes to data quality and reporting
• Passion about research, television, marketing, emerging media and technology
• Proactive, adaptive and collaborative work style
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to apply to both research execution and business questions
• Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
• BA/BS in social sciences, marketing science, applied research or related field with strong academic record
NICE-TO-HAVES
• Experience with SPSS or other analytical tools
• Experience with syndicated research tools such as MRI and comScore
• Knowledge of SQL
• Media research background
