Description
YES Network is currently seeking a Digital Account Executive to manage new digital advertising sales opportunities for the network. The primary focus of the position will be on selling sponsorship for digital video on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube, with a secondary focus on selling video sponsorship and other ad components for YESNetwork.com. There will also be time spent on supporting the existing ad sales team in closing FSGO authenticated streaming sales opportunities. The Digital Account Executive will work with his/her supervisor to come up with effective strategies that generate revenue that meets or exceeds established budget. A key component to success will be in developing and cultivating strong relationships with digital specific clients, agencies, and advertisers. Supervision shall occur in the form of weekly meetings and status updates with supervisor, weekly meetings with both the ad sales team (to be appraised of activity with liner TV clients) as well as the digital content team (to be aware of digital content coming down the pipeline).
Responsibilities
• Sell currently unsold sponsorship opportunities on YES social media platforms, which requires working with digital agencies, buyers and brands that YES currently isn’t in a position to sell to.
• Sell unsold components of YES Network website, which requires working with same agencies and buyers and selling a product that has had a longer history but isn’t a current focus of YES ad sales group.
• Meet or exceed budget set in tandem with supervisor.
• Work with ad sales group to help make sales of sponsorship opportunities within streaming products on FSGO, inclusive of Yankees, Nets and NYCFC game content.
• Provide weekly sales forecast reports to supervisors.
• Monitor market and competitor activity so YES is well positioned to compete for sales.
• Proactively provide sales ideas to clients as well as being responsible for metrics reporting to clients.
• Collaborate with multiple departments (digital media, ad sales, finance, marketing, production) in order to achieve network objectives and optimize revenue through strategic and creative means.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
• 3+ years digital sales experience with a proven understanding of social, mobile, and digital products.
• The ideal candidate may be a current digital ad executive or a digital sales planner at a larger organization looking for an opportunity for personal and professional growth.
• Excellent communication (written and oral) and negotiating skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively both internally and externally. As this is a sales position, comfort in social situations is a must
• Analytical ability, comfort with a data centric approach (CPM, impressions, site metrics, data analysis, etc.), technologically savvy with ability to understanding new technology platforms and be comfortable with and conversant in all new platforms and products to be sold.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and all social media platforms is necessary.
• Must have established relationships with brands and agencies on the digital side of the business; proven track record with measurable success maximizing sales while offering strong ROI to clients.
• Strong interest in and knowledge of sports is preferred.
