Job Description:
Job Summary
This position facilitates, manages and stewards all components of the media financial life cycle. The role acts as liaison to all disciplines that touch the clients for which they are responsible, ensuring timely approvals, client invoicing and media reconciliation. Additionally, this position would allow for exposure to overall Brand Team budget management, outside of the billing process.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• 15% - Facilitate, track and report on client authorizations
• 40% - Manage and report on client authorizations against purchased
• 25% - Manage and track client invoicing
• 10% - Client communication
• 5% - Support audit needs
Please see below for specific responsibilities:
• Work with Brand Team to identify media activity to be billed, from planned budgets to original buys to final reconciliation
• Understand the media flowchart
• Use SBMS & HMI Web to pull and review relevant reports (financial summaries, client activity reports, insertion order summaries, estimate log reports) to identify all media activity is accounted for; follow up with activation where necessary
• Establish and reinforce timelines related to billing and media reconciliation
• Generate soft/draft bill to provide to Brand Account Group for their approval
• Clarify any discrepancies with Brand Team and or Media Buyers
• Prepare client billing packet, including cover memo any supporting documents that are required by client
• Provide final billing packet to client
• Facilitate communication between activation and the billing team to ensure timely reconciliation in compliance with Horizon policies and contractual obligations
• Work closely with client finance team to deliver accrual requirements
• Report on status of estimate and reconciliation billing (where applicable)
• Support audit needs
• Would be POC for client(s) for all items mentioned above

Knowledge and Skills Required
Strong analytical, project management and Excel skills are required, as well as the ability to speak to financial concepts. Previous knowledge of a standard media billing process and the media industry is preferred.

Certificates, licenses and registrations
Finance or related degree preferred. Can be satisfied by 5+ years’ experience in media finance
