Position Overview
Position involves working across the company including Industry Strategy and Marketing, Sales, Finance and Operations to develop the reporting and analysis of pricing strategy for new and existing offerings. The person will also assist in the development and evolution of pricing frameworks to manage existing and future offerings.
Responsibilities
• Work as key member of the Offering Management and Pricing Strategy team within Business Models and Pricing
• Work closely with Industry Business Development to provide guidance on pricing for existing and new offerings
• Define meaningful analysis and metrics to manage pricing across product lines and sales regions
• Define reporting views for senior management to measure success of pricing strategies across sales regions and to evaluate the effectiveness of pricing actions
• Assist in the development of the frameworks and analysis necessary to drive sound pricing framework decisions
• Define the financial and operational metrics necessary to measure the success of such decisions
• Work closely with Sales, Industry Strategy and other teams to resolve pricing issues that are raised during Pricing Committee review and bring those to an expedient closure
• Work with internal and external resources to provide elasticity/pricing/packaging analyses
• Assist in the development of pricing framework for new offerings
• Work with sales organization and operations to drive consistent global pricing processes and policies
• Develop analysis to support recommendations
Minimum Qualifications
• 7+ years’ experience in high tech industry and/or pricing discipline
• BA/BS in Business or related field, MBA a plus
• Strong Analytical and Presentation Skills
• Excellent Interpersonal Communication and Negotiation Skills
• Strong financial analysis, forecasting/modeling and reporting skills
Knowledge of SAP, Business Objects, Siebel a plus
• Desire to work hard, produce results and have fun doing it
• Ability to travel (approx. 10%)
