Project Manager, Pop2Life/Experiences (LA)
Do you love Christmas as much as Buddy the Elf? Do you want to sing for all the world to hear to spread Christmas cheer from January through December? Are you a seasoned event producer with experience in fabrication, logistics, and creative development? Seeking a self-starter who is passionate about events and the holidays to oversee a large-scale annual holiday project across 15 cities nationwide and assist on other projects as needed.
Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of event production to include concept ideation, vendor selection, logistics, execution, and post event wrap up
• Budget creation and management for all assigned events
• Develop and actively manage vendor/freelance relationships to ensure best available resources and serve as liaison for all vendor matters
• Develop, manage and communicate project timelines for all components of the defined scope and set goals to meet project deadlines
• Oversee vendor contracts and draft Scope of Works for all projects. Secure all permitting and event insurance coverage
• Participate in creative development and brainstorm with internal team to generate project concepts
• Lead both internal planning and client meetings with confidence
• Research new and alternative ways to leverage event technology to achieve client objectives
• Manage Regional Managers and serve as the lead for all on-site project issues
Experience and Qualifications:
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in event planning, production management or a related field. Experience in fabrication a strong plus and experience working with unions preferred
• Excellent computer skills with a proficiency in MS Office, Keynote and G Suite
• Must be able to create and manipulate detailed spreadsheets tracking budgets, schedules, and other project related items
• Strong project management skills including budgeting, scheduling, and client relations
• Willingness to work overtime during peak times of production, overnight installations, weekends and holidays as necessary with periods of extensive travel
• Must be comfortable working independently while collaborating with a remote team
• Must be solutions oriented and maintain a strong commitment to get the job done
• Proven track record managing multiple projects simultaneously required
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written – and customer service skills
• Ability to interact and build rapport with clients, vendors, and staff
