Manager, Data Science & Analytics
Job Summary:
We are seeking an entrepreneurial Analytics Manager to join our rapidly growing Data Sciences (DS) team. Data Sciences is a custom analytics, research and consulting team that delivers data driven strategic marketing insights to our clients. Each member of the team is aligned to one or more clients and works closely with other DS team members, our clients and colleagues across other disciplines such as: Client Management, Search, Media, Strategy, User Experience and Technology.
Analytics Managers are expected to own at least one client (or portion of a large client) end-to-end and to be the analytics partner for our client teams. Analytics Managers deliver data-driven strategic marketing insights and only need assistance from senior team members for high level meetings. Analytics Managers are expected to manage their engagements and clearly define project deliverables and timelines. They are supported by analysts.
Responsibilities:
Work related
•Work with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business objectives, define data strategy and develop project scope for performance marketing and analytics programs.
•Support the development of measurement strategies, learning agendas and roadmaps with input from senior team members and internal stakeholders
•Manage, execute and deliver analyses such as: advertising performance analysis, website analytics, customer segmentation, performance forecasting, ROI modeling, lifetime value analysis, cross channel analysis, media mix analysis and brand research
•Identify gaps to conversion on client’s sites by analyzing clickstream data and purchase funnel metrics; develop and test new methodologies or technologies to find potential conversion improvement opportunities
•Lead conversion rate optimization programs including identifying, evaluating and prioritizing personalization and testing opportunities for increasing revenue generated from site content, e-mail marketing, digital marketing, SEO/SEM and promotions
•Guide the development of daily, weekly, monthly, & seasonal reporting/scorecards to monitor the health of the client’s business and to share business insights with internal marketing, product development, sales, and finance stakeholders
•Drive engagements with clients to define, design, deliver and enable leading audience management tools including Adobe Audience Manager, Oracle BlueKai and Krux
•Experience with leveraging second and third party data partners for audience enrichment, personalization and conversion optimization
Management/Leadership
•Manage and/or mentor junior team members and provide training, project support and career advice
•Clearly define project deliverables, timelines, and dependencies for junior team members, internal stakeholders and clients
•Deep analytical, project management, storytelling and communication skills
•Package deliverables in an articulate and easy-to-understand fashion with a clear storyline that addresses client business needs
Experience Guidelines:
•6+ years of work experience in a quantitative digital marketing environment
•Strong communication and client service skills
•Strong project management skills and attention to detail
•Comfort with working in and contributing to a team based environment
•Successful end to end delivery of analytical projects
•Candidates should have experience in the following:
•Data manipulation, predictive modeling and statistical tools (SQL, R, Python, Google BigQuery, etc.)
•Web analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Adobe, etc.)
•Digital experience personalization and A/B testing tools (Adobe Target, Optimizely, Google Optimize)
•Ad Tech Stacks (Ad Servers, MTA, DMP, DCO, etc.)
•2nd and 3rd Party Data Providers & Ad exchange data (DemandBase, TransUnion, Zillow, Claritas, BlueKai, Acxiom)
•Media mix modeling and attribution platform knowledge a plus.
Education:
•Bachelor’s degree, MBA or Master’s degree in quantitative studies. The equivalent combination of education, training and work experience may be suitable.
