The primary focus of this role is to manage the delivery of $60M+ business case benefits annually that will impact overall business results and budget targets. This includes development of key strategies for business benefit realization, resource management, and ownership of financial and analytics used to drive improvements throughout the organization. The role will provide financial and analytical leadership in the area of benefits realization and champion highly visible enterprise projects that impact organizational performance. This position will require substantial interaction with EVP’s, cross-functional departments, and senior leadership.
Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities
• Serves as the primary liaison across the organization in the creation and accuracy of benefit measurement and tracking in alignment to budgets and forecasts. As part of the process the position is responsible for: leading and influencing cross functional teams in the creation of plans and tactics that deliver on overall business results/budget goals and reviewing and verifying the completeness of data and processes to ensure constant assumptions are used to make critical business decisions
• Leads and develops processes enabling efficient and effective workflow related to project inflow and communications
• Leads and works with teams across the organization to ensure proper workload modeling is being developed for all enterprise projects
• Leads and works with teams across the organization to predict and balance workload across team members
• Drive accountability and provide organizational leadership through monthly explanation and assessment of business results compared to budget and forecast. Acts as a catalyst for change by driving results and playing a strong leadership role in finding solutions to achieve overall company financial objectives
• Lead high-complexity and highly visible organization wide assignments related to TOPS that require recommendations for aligning resources, completing research, developing new thinking/approaches and shaping benefits realization strategic direction
• Establish/maintain critical business partner relationships, especially as it relates to senior members of business partner leadership teams
• Remains strategic in thought and provides a big-picture perspective on business case realization issues and potential solutions. Assignments include the most technically challenging analytics; requiring research or creation of new approaches
• Collects appropriate data as necessary to prepare ad-hoc analysis as requested by EVPs and senior management. The types and nature of these analyses will vary according to the needs of the business. These analyses are performed to provide decision support in evaluating the possible outcomes of various strategic and tactical decisions including cost/benefit analyses, what if analyses, comparative analyses, vendor specific analyses, etc.
• Create and deliver executive level presentations and reports for executive level decision making
• Passionately exhibits the values and behaviors of the Dynamic Organization, and take ownership of strengthening our business model
• Proactively seeks out industry knowledge and changes to support projections and recommendations that facilitate and drive improvement to overall business results
• Responsible for driving the development of business case models and reporting for TOPS related enterprise projects
• Lead, develop, and coach team member
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred
• 8-10 years of broad financial experience including budgeting, forecasting, and planning, project benefits analysis, resource management and at least 5 years of leadership experience
• Working knowledge of the wireless industry required. Wireless operations experience a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including experience in presenting to C-level executives. Proven ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships and influence at all levels of the organization
• Strong project planning and management skills are a must; ability to breakdown complex problems into manageable goals is required
• Ability to synthesize various, independently generated, data points into a cohesive analysis
• Experience leading cross functional teams while handling multiple projects simultaneously is required
• Extensive knowledge of general ledger and financial systems (SAP and Cognos) computer software
• Strong PC literacy skills in a Windows environment with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word).
