Description
This position will work with video editors across all departments at National Geographic Partners to help coordinate video deliverables across the organization, including our international markets. He/she works closely with the Director of Video Operations to prepare video assets needed for localization.
Responsibilities
• Review digital platforms for newly published videos and prioritize videos for local markets to localize.
• Collect all video assets and their related publishing information. Work with video editors and producers as needed.
• Reversion and process videos for international use and communicate daily productivity and related issues to stakeholders.
• Support Director of Video Operations in identifying ways to streamline and optimize the workflow for processing daily video for existing and future global markets. Also support Director of Video Operations to optimize workflows for other archiving and distribution systems.
• Serve as primary point of contact for user inquiries related to website issues for video playback in National Geographic Support Center. Monitor trends and alert teams of significant functional problems in video playback, and maintain documentation of existing issues and work with tech and product team to prioritize those issues.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a related field. Minimum one year of related experience. Experience working in an editorial environment preferred. Experience as assistant editor or coordinator in media management a plus.
• Knowledge of digital content management and video publishing systems preferred. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, and acute attention to detail.
