Job Summary:
The position of business analyst and project manager will be responsible for developing a wide variety of analyses and documents that will be used by Business Services Market Development team. He/she will also be responsible for planning, developing, and managing individual projects from inception to implementation as well as the overall project portfolio. The candidate must be able to build positive working relationships with managers and employees throughout the Company and have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The candidate must have a strong working knowledge of market research, financial statements, project management and strategic planning.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Prepare comprehensive analyses of the economic, demographic, and competitive landscapes of current and potential commercial areas and verticals.
• Convert information and analyses into actionable decision frameworks and summary presentations for various audiences, including senior and executive management.
• Aid in analyzing the strategic and financial attractiveness of potential development targets and other growth opportunities.
• Assist in creating strategies and plans to drive revenue growth, value enhancement and cost optimization.
• Support the Business Services Market Development Department with all aspects of strategic development job duties.
• Develop, manage and maintain an overall project portfolio to identify projects status, progress and risks
• Develop project business cases, identifying stakeholders and defining scope, opportunities, proposed solutions, benefits and risks
• Understand project objectives and communicate them to project stakeholders
• Work with business stakeholders to elicit and validate project requirements
• Develop project documents useful to both business stakeholders and supporting personnel
• Manage change and issues control processes
• Apply risk management and estimation skills
• Utilize standard personal productivity software (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Project) for project planning, control and reporting
• Ensure that all aspects of business process documentation, training and implementation-related change management are identified and addressed
• Serve as primary point of contact for all parties associated with project execution, ensuring open communications between the business stakeholders and supporting personnel are maintained
Core Responsibilities:
• Understands and applies various statistical concepts, research data, standards, and practices.-Works directly with cross-functional teams and department leadership to create research presentations and summaries.
• Participates in meetings, training programs, and conferences as directed.
• Reviews types and sources of purchased market research data and recommends purchases to Marketing management.
• Coordinates and participates in the generation of regular and special market research or trend reports to management.
• Ensures pertinent market information is translated and dispersed to Marketing Research Department for evaluation.
• Maintains expertise in marketing research and stays current on new developments through contacts with educational institutions, professional organizations, publications, and vendors.
• Makes recommendations based on analysis and findings.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Specification:
• Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
• Generally requires 5-7 years related experience
Additional Requirements:
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Bachelors degree with a major or focus in finance, business, economics, quantitative analysis, research or operations preferred.
• Must have a minimum of 4 yrs experience as a Business Analyst and 2 yrs experience as a Project Manager
• Must be able to work well independently, without close supervision and in a team
• Must have excellent attention to detail and presentation skills; with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, and across technical and non-technical disciplines
• Must possess strong people skills with eagerness to drive towards customer satisfaction while managing multiple priorities in dynamic environment is essential.
• Must possess superior problem solving, financial, research and analytical skills.
• Must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must have a proven ability to think creatively and strategically.
• Must be able to demonstrate drive, initiative, and adaptability.
• Must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word.
