About the Team The Customer Growth team at The New Yorker is focused on growing the number of paid subscribers and increasing retention of current subscribers. The team is a cross-functional group from Consumer Marketing, Analytics, Audience Development, Editorial, Data Science, Product Development and Design that is focused on rapidly testing new content, products and features.
Who You Are
As the Product Manager of The New Yorker Customer Growth team, you will lead a group of engineers, data scientists, and designers in building new features to grow the number of subscribers and drive retention.
Responsibilities for this role include:
● Craft The New Yorker’s vision for how we use technology and data to grow our customer base.
● Develop a strategy and product roadmap in making the vision a reality.
● Identify the largest opportunities to increase consumer revenue in the customer journey.
● Work closely with editorial stakeholders to build features that support their content strategy.
● Set ambitious goals and measure and quantify impact on a regular basis.
● Build best-in-class products by understanding user problems, prioritizing features, and defining testing strategies.
● Interface closely with key stakeholders in Data Science, Engineering, Design, Editorial, Analytics, and Consumer Marketing to gain customer insights.
● Foster a culture of experimentation and data-informed decision making.
Required Qualifications
● 5+ years experience building consumer products as a Product Manager.
● Experience with ecommerce or conversion-driven products.
● Experience with A/B testing and statistical analysis.
● Strong ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences and build consensus across teams.
● Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.

● An interest in the future of journalism.
