Description
Join Madison Square Park Conservancy, the non-profit organization that operates and programs historic, 6.2 acre Madison Square Park, a premier public green space and cultural hub in New York City.
The Conservancy seeks a full-time Marketing and Communications Associate to support the department in the implementation of outreach strategies encompassing all aspects of the Conservancy’s events, programmatic, development, and sponsorship needs. This position will report to the Director of Marketing and Communications.
The Marketing and Communications Associate will assist in the following areas:
- Manage multi-channel campaign calendar
- Collaborate and consult on all Conservancy graphic design needs including brochures, in-Park signage, event invites, and on-site event graphics
- Execute strategies to increase audience engagement and conversions
- Plan, write and edit content across social media, website, and e-newsletter
- Monitor and grow MSPC social media channels
- Draft Press Releases
- Support all Conservancy events and programs
We’re looking for:
- Substantial experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- One year of experience working in a marketing or communications capacity in a nonprofit
- A dynamic, enthusiastic individual who can take both initiative and direction
- Strong skill and a willingness to learn social media and current trends
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
- A team player who enjoys collaboration
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and thoroughness
Time Commitment:
Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm.
