Manager – Financial Reporting
A little bit about our team:
Corporate Finance is responsible for ensuring compliance with WMG’s external and financial reporting requirements, global consolidation process, accounting for complex and one-time transactions, and coordination of corporate services, as well as budgeting and forecasting.
Why this could be your next big break:
This position will be responsible preparation of required financial reporting deliverables and review of Warner Music Group Corp.’s financial statements. The position will report to the VP, Assistant Controller.
Here you’ll get to:
• Responsible for the coordination and preparation of key financial reporting requirements for Warner Music Group Corporate utilizing Hyperion Financial Management for over 150 worldwide sites. This includes Warner Music International, Warner Chappell, Warner Music US Labels and Warner Corporate Entities.
• Coordinate with external reporting and consolidation teams to ensure proper submission of all financial reporting requirements are properly included in the all SEC filings and other required reporting submissions.
• Review consolidated income statement/balance sheet accounts and factsheet provided to upper management and investor relations used in preparation of 8-K (press release) and earnings script.
• Prepare consolidated statement of cash flow and working capital analysis on a quarterly basis for inclusion in the WMG Form 10-Qs and 10-Ks.
• Ensure compliance with and preparation of all debt covenant calculations for actuals, budgets and forecasts on a monthly basis
• Prepare financial statements analyses for certain key accounts including SG&A and Other Income/Expense on a quarterly basis.
• Assist in one-off transactions requiring the inclusion of financial information such as rating agency presentations, debt refinancings and lender presentations, and other executive level presentations.
• Key point of contact for external auditors
It would be music to our ears if you also had:
• Previous experience in auditing and reviewing 10-Q and 10-K
• Demonstrates problem solving, decision making, and continuous process improvement skills
• Superior organizational skills with attention to detail
• Demonstrates partnering, influencing, and communication skills up and down the organizational structure to convey key elements in a concise and positive manner
• Ability to work proactively, independently and as a strategic partner in a team environment
• Previous supervisory experience a plus
Experience Required:
• CPA required
• Big Four experience
• 5+ years professional experience in accounting and reporting
• Large multi-national experience a plus
• Strong computer skills with knowledge of financial systems and software
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
