The Demand Planner is responsible for the development of the demand plan for their respective category within the Device Supply Chain Planning team. This individual contributor role is responsible for using formal analytical techniques to align forecasts from multiple sources to build a consensus demand plan with other internal teams while staying aligned to key Supply Chain metrics including controlling costs and forecast accuracy. This demand plan controls annual purchases and is critical to service levels to customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement demand plans for a category through analysis and collaboration with consensus group to drive supply and replenishment plans.
• Responsible for forecasts at multiple levels including SKU, distribution center, and customer facing locations (several hundred to several thousand).
• Partner with managers on multiple internal teams throughout the organization for collaborative planning and management of business objectives. These teams include Product Management, Pricing and Promotions, Marketing, Finance, and Sales.
• Act as the lead for the category at Executive Reviews by planning and developing the presentation to ensure the most relevant topics are brought up for decision making.
• Act as the team lead within supply chain planning to execute on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as well as business objectives that require multiple functions to work together.
• Analyze large amounts of data in conjunction with business insights to provide conclusions and recommend strategies to be used with category team and collaborative planning team.
• Lead category team on special projects, reporting needs, and ad hoc requests to accommodate a rapidly changing business environment.
Job Requirements:
• Demand planning and forecasting experience required
• Advanced analytical skills required.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
• 5-7 years of relevant work experience
• Experience with advanced planning systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to balance multiple responsibilities at one time and reprioritize as needed.
• Self-motivated and able to make timely, quality decisions
• Ability to build relationships and work in a collaborative environment
• SAP (ECC/APO) experience preferred.
• Retail experience preferred.
