JOB SUMMARY
Provides systems support in the end-user computing environment. Assists in the identification of needs and development of end-user system solutions through evaluation and selection or design of appropriate applications. Assists in implementation of applications through testing, documentation and training. Oversees training of new BSA employees. Oversees projects and performs project review for all BSA projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Meets with middle and upper management to determine application requirements and follows through after implementation to determine areas of concern.
• Advises user departments about feasibility and functional design along with impact to operations.
• Documents systems for end-users; user reference materials and training aids.
• Analyzes existing system problems and makes suggestions for corrective action.
• Understands base application components, i.e. file structure, file relationships, etc.
• Understands and utilizes Query tools.
• Maintains confidential nature of matters pertaining to company records and policies.
• Is proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially Word and Excel.
• Lead the planning and implementation of projects.
• Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
• Define project tasks and resource requirements.
• Develop full scale project plans as well as assemble and coordinate project staff.
• Plan and schedule project timelines and provide direction and support to project team.
• Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to management.
• Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions.
• Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
• Develop and maintain test plans for each application area and maintains quality assurance.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially Word and Excel.
Training or project management experience.
Must have strong troubleshooting abilities and be detail oriented.
Excellent computer, math and writing skills.
Must have ability to communicate complex ideas, processes to non-IS personnel in order to implement system changes in other departments.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
College degree in computer science or related field or equivalent preferred.
5 years of analyst or troubleshooting experience within the casino or similar industry.
