Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities: The W Publishing intern will be responsible for assisting both the editorial and marketing teams and will gain a broad overview of the publishing process.
The intern will:
• Acquire working knowledge of standard proofreading marks and The Chicago Manual of Style by assisting with page proofs
• Participate in acquisitions and titling meetings
• Attend sales pub boards as appropriate
• Manage media mailing lists
• Order and ship media review books
• Support advance reader mailings
• Manage Net Galley account (loading new titles and approving reviewer requests)
• Communicate with authors regarding deals and promotions
• Some clerical work (e.g. photocopying, binding, filing, email, note taking, and data entry)
Qualifications
Must be a Fall 2018 College Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student

Industry Knowledge: Candidates should have a passionate interest in the publishing industry, with a specific passion for non-fiction preferred. General understanding of the Christian market is a plus, but not required.
