JOB SUMMARY:
Must supervise the stewarding team and assist with all stewarding duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Cleaning
• Sanitizing and storing of kitchen equipment, glassware and utensils according to proper industry standards, within specified time lines.
• Must have knowledge of various cleaning compounds and their proper usage and storage requirements. Will be expected to perform assorted cleaning and sanitation needs of all appropriate culinary areas and document their daily completed duties.
• Must have a working knowledge of necessary cleaning equipment and are required to alert their manager or a Chef on duty of any equipment failures or needed maintenance immediately.
• Will be expected to perform their duties in various working environments such as deep freezers and around steam cleaning equipment.
• Will use equipment that uses water, steam, and heat for safe maintaining of food contact surfaces.
• Will be held accountable to ensure all daily duties are correctly completed and documented utilizing both opening and closing checklists.
• Must be able to communicate to subordinate employees’ daily through team briefings and log information that is required for that day’s business.
• All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to read, write, add subtract, multiply, and divide. Must be physically able to repeatedly lift, bend, reach, stoop, climb, and carry items for extended amounts of time with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to physically lift and move items up to 40 pounds. Must be able to endure heat and moist conditions with reasonable accommodation. Must have the ability to handle several tasks at once.
Must be able to stand/walk/ sit for extended periods. May be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment.
Must be at least 21. Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing. Must be able to pass a background investigation.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
